Rajkummar Rao reviews Chhaava; showers praises on Vicky Kaushal and team
Based on the real life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chhaava is a historical drama that has taken over the theatres by storm earlier this week. Opening to rave reviews, the film has been receiving much love from audience and industry insiders who are in awe of Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna taking on these unconventional, power-packed roles. Recent one to shower praises on the film is none other than Vicky’s colleague and popular actor Rajkummar Rao who took to social media to review the film and rave about the work of the film’s team.
Taking to his Instagram story, Rajkummar Rao shared a poster of Chhaava featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and said, “Chhaava is Brilliant” as he went on to appreciate Kaushal’s performance saying, “You deserve all this love Bhai and much more”. He further added, “Laxman Utekar Sir Take a Bow”. He also addressed the work of Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana by insisting that gave ‘Amazing Performances’. He continued, “Dinesh Vijan – More Power to You” and “AR Rahman Legend” and concluded the appreciation post by tagging the rest of the team and production banners before signing off.
Vicky Kaushal reposted this on his Instagram story and expressed gratitude towards the same by saying, “Thank you so much Bhai” and also shared heart and folded hands emoji.
Speaking of the film, Chhaava is an adaptation of the Marathi novel by the same name by Shivaji Sawant. The film traces the journey of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj continuing the journey started by his father Shivaji Maharaj for Swarajya as he plans one of the most fatal and smartest attacks against the Mughal Empire to bring down their reign.
